SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

A simple timeline guide for a smooth, relaxed wedding day

After photographing over 400 weddings over the last nine years, one thing I’ve found makes a huge difference in how much you actually enjoy your wedding day is having a timeline that gives you room to breathe.

A Guide to Creating a Wedding Day That Feels Effortless, Intentional & Beautiful

Perfect Day

THE

When there’s enough time built into the day, you can actually live in the moment instead of constantly wondering what’s happening next. You have time to laugh with your friends, soak it all in, spend a few extra minutes with the people you love, and of course, have all of those moments beautifully documented.

Here’s what I typically recommend:

Bridal Details — 30 minutes
Dress, shoes, jewelry, invitations, flowers, perfume, and all the little details you’ll want photographed.

Bride Getting Ready — 1 hour
Getting into your dress, final touches, candid moments with your bridesmaids, and everything leading up to the big reveal.

Groom Getting Ready — 30 minutes
Getting dressed, details, time with the guys, and a few relaxed portraits.

First Look — 15–20 minutes
If you're having a first look, give yourselves enough time to slow down and actually enjoy the moment. We’ll also capture some beautiful portraits immediately afterward.

Pre-Ceremony Details — 30 minutes
A little extra breathing room for final touches, first look setup, or anything else we need before the ceremony.

Ceremony — 30–60 minutes
Depending on your ceremony and traditions.

Family Photos — 15–30 minutes
These take on average about 1 minute per grouping. We’ll keep these organized and moving so you can get back to enjoying the day.

Wedding Party Photos — 15–20 minutes
A mix of classic group photos and more candid, editorial images.

Couple Portraits — 30 minutes
Time to slow down, enjoy being together, and create some of the most meaningful photographs of the day.

Buffer Before the Grand Entrance — 15 minutes
A little breathing room before the reception kicks off. This is where having extra time can make a huge difference.

Reception — However long your celebration lasts
From the grand entrance and dinner to toasts, dances, cake cutting, and the dance floor, we’ll build your coverage around what matters most to you.

The goal isn't to make your wedding day revolve around a timeline.

It’s to create enough space that you don't have to rush through it.

The more breathing room we build into your day, the more naturally everything unfolds, and the more freedom we have to capture the moments as they happen.

GET TO DISCOVER MY

Every wedding is photographed using a thoughtful blend of digital and film, creating imagery that feels refined, deeply personal, and true to how the day was lived.

After years behind the camera, one belief guides my work: a great photograph should make you feel something. Not just how it looked, but how it felt to be there.

My approach is rooted in documentary storytelling, allowing moments to unfold naturally, paired with an editorial eye that brings quiet direction when it matters most. The result is a balance of genuine emotion, meaningful connection, and artful imagery that feels effortless and elevated.

Each image is finished with a true-to-color approach, preserving natural skin tones, light, and subtle detail. Your gallery is designed to feel honest and enduring, with photographs that remain as beautiful and relevant decades from now as they are today.

"It is clear that Andrew genuinely enjoys what he does, and it shows in his work."

I approach each wedding with care, intention, and a refined artistic vision, ensuring your story is told beautifully and authentically.

Your wedding is more than a single day; it is the beginning of a story that will be shared for generations. That belief is at the heart of my work. I’m drawn to wedding photography because it holds one of life’s most meaningful moments, those that are fleeting, profound, and irreplaceable. Documenting them is both an honor and a responsibility.

Your legacy beautifully documented.
